Is it possible, according to eyewitness reports BestBuy was caught selling out of the Toshiba units in a special ‘fire sale’. No more units could be found in the Best Buy location in question, but had plenty of the updated HD-30’s in stock. It looks like, because of it’s success, Wal-mart will also be selling a Toshiba HD-DVD player for $100, in a limited sale.
Taking the sale’s a bit further, Wal-Mart has been working on selling an HD-DVD player for less than $200, making it a bargain for almost anyone. But you say you have to have Blu-Ray, well, expect Blu-Ray players for under the $400 mark come Black Friday.
